Big Draw Join in the Big Draw – a two day event offering everyone and anyone the chance to pick up a pencil or charcoal and have a go at drawing live models. It’s free, all materials are provided, and a team of experienced artists are available to give advice on methods and where to find classes and courses. All ages and all abilities are welcome to join in.

Norfolk Knitters and Stitchers Drop-in Teams of knitters and stitchers are on site for seven days ready to show you how to get started or how to improve your skills. Take a seat, pick up some needles and some yarn and join in. Or bring along your latest project for some expert tips, or to share your own expertise. The knitters and stitchers are a friendly, welcoming bunch with groups who meet regularly in communities across the county. New members are always welcome. Cocoon Commissioned by The Forum for Makers’ Month, Woollenwood’s Kally Davidson has created a wool-based walk-in installation. Showcased in our Gallery, the work has been developed freely without the restraints of a definite plan and uses natural colours and shapes.
Capability Brown Embroideries A selection of embroidered wall hangings inspired by the work of Capability Brown, the 18th century landscape architect, are on show near the entrance to The Gallery. They were created by members of the Embroiderers’ Guild to mark the 300th anniversary of Brown’s birth in 2016.
All free craft and making activities during Makers Month are on a first come first served basis. Bookable Taster Workshops and talks are highlighted.
