The Forum and Norfolk Makers’ Festival are offering artists and makers the chance to exhibit their work at the 2020 festival in a new exhibition.
The two week event held each February at The Forum, Norwich attracts tens of thousands of visitors, and the new exhibition forms a major part of the 2020 programme.
Both professional and amateur textile artists and makers, who live in Norfolk, Suffolk or Cambridgeshire, are invited to submit work inspired by the theme of ‘Picking up the Threads’.
Festival organiser, Jayne Evans, said:
“Norfolk Makers Festival is all about celebrating creativity and inspiring people to have a go and get involved with all things crafting. I’m excited to see what our region’s crafters can create, in what will be a unique and inspiring exhibition.”
All genres are accepted, including weaving, spinning, knitting, crochet, quilting, embroidery, lacemaking and patchwork and work can also be 3D.
The entries will be judged by a panel of professional textile artists and the winners will be displayed in The Forum’s Gallery throughout the 2020 Festival, running Saturday 8 to Sunday 23 February.
Next February’s Festival will be the fifth and details about the 2020 exhibitions, activities, demonstrations and workshops will be available on the festival website in the autumn.
