Age UK Norwich Abseil 2025

Experience the thrill of the descent while making a real difference in the lives of older people in our community.

Following the resounding success of our first ever Abseil at The Forum, where 61 brave individuals conquered their fears and raised over £7,000 for vital services for older people, we are delighted to announce that this thrilling challenge is back in 2025!

Join us once again for an unforgettable experience as you descend the iconic Forum building. All funds raised will directly support Age UK Norwich in providing vital services to those over 50 in our community. 

 Registration is free but all fundraisers are asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £50 for Age UK Norwich

Applications must be received by 6 June. This is to allow as much time for fundraising as possible. 

Abseil Restrictions

All participants under the age of 18 will need parent or legal guardian to sign the consent forms. We would accept members aged 14 or over as long as the abseiling team are happy with their application information and may request further information.

We do not have an upper age limit for participation but recommend that older individuals consult their doctor if concerned about their health and ability.

If participants have any medical concerns we must insist they consult their doctor for consent regarding the abseil prior to application.

There is no upper or lower weight limit, but the equipment must safely fit in line with the manufacturers recommendations. The maximum harness sizes are 60 inches for waist and 38 inches for leg.  If you would like to discuss this further prior to the event you can contact the abseiling team at [email protected]
