A celebration of Norfolk’s edible heritage and local food and drink producers.

Feastival at The ForumOpen
Sat 18 & Sun 19 Sep10am - 4pm

This special free-to-attend event marks the 2021 festival theme of Edible England with a two day celebration at The Forum, Norwich for Heritage Open Days. Come along and discover the roots of our county’s food and drink, learn how and where the produce is grown, and meet the producers, while the little ones explore Norfolk’s food history too!

Feastival at The Forum will showcase Norfolk based independent and artisan traders with tasters, promotions and a fine selection of local produce on offer. There will also be a variety of delicious street food stalls, talks, and other food related events and activities for all ages, along with music from local artists to sit back to, listen and enjoy! Heritage will be weaved through the weekend so whilst wandering through the food stalls, visitors will be able to learn more about the mustard to chocolate, gin to jam that’s produced on our doorstep, with local producers telling the fascinating stories behind their produce.

Furry Friends at The Forum!

You can also come down to meet some of our furry friends, with members of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust in residence with their rare breed Norfolk Horn and North Ronaldsay sheep and lambs. Learn about their unique heritage, how we can help preserve these amazing breeds for centuries more, and even have a go at spinning their wool!

Grow your own!

And if fancy trying your hand at growing your own produce, the Food and Farming Discovery Trust (FFDT) will be hosting ‘grow your own potato’ drop-in workshops in their trailer and on hand to give you some tips to try at home!

"Feastival is a fantastic opportunity to really further the knowledge and understanding of the general public. This in particular for us is mustard! As the only single estate mustard powder producers in the UK we really want to connect the county back together again with its mustard pride and heritage”
