In the Dugout: A life in Football by Ian Wright

7pm - 8pm: Online

Library event

A Shared Reading session and discussion with Maanik Chadda, FA's former Diversity & Inclusion Officer.

Join Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library for an online talk and discussion with The Jack Leslie Campaign about Leslie’s fascinating story.

Ian Wright, Arsenal legend, England striker and TV pundit, is one of the most interesting and relevant figures in modern football. With Maanik Chadda, former Diversity and Inclusion Officer for the English Football Association, we will be exploring Wright’s “A life in Football, my autobiography” following his path from a troubled childhood on a South London Council estate to Arsenal scorer and one of the country’s best loved footballers and commentators.

What is Shared Reading?

Shared Reading sessions provide an opportunity for everyone to listen to and read aloud from a wide range of literature. The sessions provide a safe space to discuss difficult topics as well as the opportunity for participants to read from selected excerpts and share their thoughts and experiences.

Never Mind The Danger: A series of Shared Reading

This event is part 'Never Mind The Danger: A series of Shared Reading' sessions and online talks celebrating the lives and achievements of Black Footballers as part of Norfolk Black History Month. Mondays 7-8pm throughout October.
