Take inspiration from history with this free writing course.

Join this 10 week archive-inspired creative writing course, led by a tutor from University of East Anglia.

Develop your writing skills in these friendly and informal sessions led by Dr Suzanne Solomon. We will explore a World War II archive for inspiration in the creation of an original short story or poem. No writing experience required. There is an opportunity to have your work displayed or read at the Forum, Norwich, in September 2025.

This free creative writing course is funded as part of Silver Wings, a project which explores the history of WWII in our local community, and the influence of the United States Army Air Forces. In this guided writing course, participants will use archive materials to create new stories, weaving together truth and fiction.

Please note you must register for a place for this course, and it is a ten week course, with a 1 week break between class 5 and class 6.

The workshop will last from 5.15pm to 6.45pm.
