The exterior of our building will be given some TLC this spring, with the entrance canopy being cleaned and protected with new coating. The building will remain open as usual during this work, and so will the businesses inside, but access will be through specially constructed tunnels.
Our normal busy programme of events and activities will be taking place - visit our What's On to see what's coming up.
The work is due to take place Monday 31 March – Friday 16 May. Whilst the work is being completed, The Forum’s façade will be temporarily obscured by scaffolding.
The Forum’s opening times will remain as normal (Mon-Sat 8am-11pm, Sun 8.30am-11pm), as will The Forum car park (7am-midnight). All businesses within The Forum will be open as usual, including Millennium Library, Café Bar Marzano, Pizza Express and On the Stall City. Outside of Marzano's will be temporarily closed whilst the work is completed.
Rob Watton, Head of Estates and Commercial at The Forum says, “This essential work to our landmark building will help keep The Forum in excellent shape for the years to come. We’re grateful to all our visitors for their patience as we invest in our building.”
The first phase of this cleaning and recoating project was already completed in Autumn 2024, with the team at Variblast returning to complete this second and final phase. This essential steelworks project will help protect, preserve, and extend the life of The Forum building, as well as giving the façade a little extra shine.
