Free & cheap things to do in Norwich at The Forum this Autumn

The Forum is here for you this Autumn...

...whether you’re looking for somewhere to park, buy Christmas gifts from a local market, keep the kids amused, or experience a fantastic atmosphere at one of our free events. We’ve put together free and cheap things that are on at The Forum over the next few months, so you don’t have to miss out if you’re feeling the pinch.

Everyone’s favourite Library hosts its super popular Bounce & Rhyme sessions.

Join the lovely Millennium Library staff as they share their favourite stories for 3-5 year olds. Bounce & Rhyme Story Sessions are a fun way to share language and great way for parents and children to spend time together, allowing them the time and environment to build bonds. Meet other parents, get ideas about new ways to engage with storytime and of course, the opportunity to borrow books and share at home. These FREE sessions are drop-in, so there’s no need to book but space is limited so staff manage capacity on the day. The next session is Friday 14 October.

The Library has fantastic events designed for everyone, taking place year-round. From art to board games to knitting, there’s plenty of ways that you can enjoy our fantastic library!

After having to postpone in July, Run Norwich's new date is fast approaching!

Over 8,500 runners have entered this year’s and you can support them from the side lines for a fantastic atmosphere as thousands of people are expected to line the streets to cheer on the runners, many of whom are fundraising for local charities. The 10-kilometre course starts and finishes near The Forum.

We would like to thank the Norfolk and Norwich SEND Association (Nansa) for agreeing to postpone the date of VISIBLE, their Neurodiversity Festival, which was due to take place at The Forum in October but will now take place March 31 and April 1 2023. And also to Brandland, who adjusted their exhibition times.

The much loved Local Makers Market is back on Saturday 15 October and 19 November  - perfect for (dare we say it) Christmas shopping, while feeling assured you’re supporting local makers.  At the Local Makers Market you can expect to find a stunning array of screen prints, ceramics, jewellery, homewares and textiles from a wide selection of talented artisans.

Love a market? There’s plenty coming up over the next few months, from Festive Fair, to Jabbawocky to the Vegan Market. Take a look at our What’s On for them all.
