Our Visitor Toilets have recently been fully refurbished. All of the facilities in the main Atrium have been upgraded, and we have installed a Changing Places toilet.
As part of the upgrade, we have installed low-flow toilets to be more sustainable and reduce our water use. We have also twinned our toilets with a school block in Tanzania. This means we have helped to fund access to toilets and clean water to improve hygiene and help save lives.

Research concluded that up to a quarter of a million disabled people throughout the UK are potential users of Changing Places toilets.
People who are unable to transfer independently or have no sitting balance will benefit from the Forum’s Changing Places toilet facilities.
With the privacy screen, their assistant is also able to use the toilet, without leaving a disabled person unattended.
To maintain the facility for people with multiple and complex needs The Forum’s Changing Places toilet will be managed by The Forum’s Customer Services Team who are trained on the use of the equipment.

We are grateful to have received funding of £65,000 to install the Changing Places Toilet from Norwich City Council. This followed Norwich City Council’s successful bid for a portion of the £23.5million government Changing Places funding.
There are two accessible toilets – one with a left hand transfer and one with a right hand transfer. Each facility is self contained with grab rails, wash basin and hygiene bin.
There is also a Changing Places Toilet.

The Family Room has a standard toilet with a seat for both adults and children. There is a step provided to assist in using both the toilet and the sink. A drop down baby changing bed, a work top providing additional space and sufficient floor space for a double buggy or children’s wheelchair are also included.
To minimise the length of time spent in the facility we haven’t included a chair for breastfeeding. However, Café Bar Marzano is a ‘breastfeeding friendly’ café.
