With Claire Cooper-King, lipreader and member of the Lipspeaker UK teaching team.

Lip-reading is widely used but often misunderstood. In this interactive one hour session, Claire draws on both her lived experience as a lip-reader and her professional expertise as part of the Lipspeaker UK teaching team.

The session explores what can realistically be seen on the lips, why some sounds look identical, and how context, rhythm and facial expression shape visual understanding. It also includes a live demonstration of Lipspeaking, offering insight into how trained professionals can support clarity and communication access for lip-readers.

Brought to you by Lipspeaker UK, proud sponsors of the Norfolk Deaf Festival.
