It brings together lived‑experience voices, support services, professionals and the wider community to challenge stigma, show that recovery is possible and creates a welcoming space where people can connect, find support or just have fun!

Why RecoveryFest Exists
RecoveryFest is shaped by people with lived experience of mental health and drug or alcohol challenges. People across Norfolk shared that these experiences often overlap yet support tends to be offered separately, creating gaps. They also highlighted the need for stronger peer support, clearer pathways, reduced stigma and better awareness of available help.
Lived experience is at the heart of RecoveryFest. People with lived experience lead the aims, design and feel of the event. The festival aims to make recovery visible, valued and heard — challenging stereotypes, building understanding and encouraging people who may be struggling to seek support.
