About Lucy Rogers

Lucy Rogers is a deaf illustrator based in Oxfordshire, UK.

Growing up in rural North Devon as the only deaf student in her mainstream school, Lucy discovered her love for books as a way to escape into different worlds. However, she soon realized there were no characters in those stories that reflected her experiences. This realization inspired Lucy to become an author and artist, dedicated to creating the stories she wished she could have read as a child.

Lucy enjoys working on board books, picture books, and book covers. To date, she has illustrated over 15 children's books and has led various illustration workshops for young deaf people, encouraging them to explore their artistic talents
