Silver Wings Street Party

Expect family activities, delicious food stalls and a USAAF military vehicle display as we step into the spirit of the 1940s with our Silver Wings Street Party!

You can enjoy live music from the fantastic Skyliner Band and even try your hand at a Lindy Hop with drop-in taster dance classes from Fine City Swing.

The party is free and open to all. Come as you are or dressed in your vintage best!

From jitterbug dancing and donuts to first-hand accounts of service and sacrifice, Silver Wings celebrates the memories that shaped Norfolk during WWII, and the legacy that still echoes today.

Join us for a free, ten-day exhibition and event series at The Forum, Fri 12-Sun 21 September 2025, presented as part of Norfolk Heritage Open Days.
